May God continue to bless the music.
The Ruckus Crew played the Methodist church in Vancouver, WA on October 18th. We introduced the newest member of the performance squad, 4 year old Emilia. You'd have to see it to believe it, but it was a cross between a wrestling match and a Taylor Swift performance. Nice job Emilia.
At Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in sunny Tempe we're starting a movement. Yep. The dads are taking over the kids liturgy during Sunday mass! We figure we've been sitting in church for a century... we might as well jump in and get involved! The new project is called BIG SUNDAY!
We're gearing up for a great Thanksgiving and then... BAM! It'll be Christmas. Then the Rose Bowl. Then it'll be 2009. We hope that the new year brings new opportunities to make 'em jump all over the country. Maybe even a new CD!
Recently, the Ruckus made it to St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Spokane for a Saturday show. We then joined Lakeside Community Church in Idaho for two shows on Sunday morning. We sold 22 CDs, the kids signed a few autographs, and we taught 'em how to Jump! Jump! Jump!
Here's the latest dates! 1. July 11th - 6:30pm at Christ the King in Richland, WA. 2. September 21st - Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Tempe, AZ. 3. September 27th - St. Mark's Lutheran in Spokane, WA.
Columbia Community Church in Richland, WA has decided that they gotta see for themselves. They just had the church re-roofed. The Ruckus has been called in to see if the kids can tear if off or not... June 1st is the day.
The kids from Sunday School jumped and shouted through another end of year show after church today. The leaders announced that the CD - Graceful Ruckus was on the way, AND BY THE WAY, Mr. Meyer will be live with all the kids on May 23rd at Christ the King. Word on the street has people already camping out for tickets!
The team at Mr. Meyer's Music decided we should tell the world what we intend to accomplish with Graceful Ruckus. So, these are the goals, mission, directions, objectives... call it what you will. We hope all who love the music will help with the cause! Mr. Meyer's Music WILL...
If this were a stock the bulls would be running! Sales of Graceful Ruckus are very strong in the first couple weeks! Why? Because kids and their parents love it! The Google cart is working well and buyers have come from as far as Georgia, New Jersey, Ohio, and Michigan!
The Ruckus Express stopped in Colfax, Washington (pop. 2000) for a live show at the Colfax United Methodist Church. There were 65 hearty souls in attendance, including the ladies quilty club. We jumped, sang, and stomped. Maybe somebody's working on a Ruckus quilt as we speak!
Yes, its was a seismic event for goodness as Graceful Ruckus went number 1 this week on Catholic Music Network. For the moment operators are standing by for calls from American Top 40, Billboard, and the President. Great news for the Goods News!
Oh yes! Graceful Ruckus was accepted by Catholic Music Network. The CD will retail at www.catholicmusicnetwork.com. For the curious, these guys are the largest source of catholic music anywhere. It's available! Check it out!
The Ruckus just scored its first media coverage. Mr. Meyer's alma mater, the University of Dayton, covered the story for the alumni quarterly. Its a first step... next we'll be debating O'Reilly on the merits of Mice and Manners.
The CD is out! This week the crew submitted the CD for distribution to a number of web retailers. We'll make an announcement of all the great places you can find Graceful Ruckus as soon as we hear the good news.
Last night Mr. Meyer played the Graceful Ruckus set with 50 of the best singers in the land. The Christ the King School Kindergarten. It was billed as the OFFICIAL launch of the CD. The kids were loud, the adults were singing along, and it was the perfect start for this musical endeavor.
